Did Macca know who he is? Apatow has too much cussin' in most of his flicks, but that's to get an "R" rating I suppose for those movies.

Yes. As noted in the story, Paul had seen Apatow perform standup several times at that point (at the Improv in L.A.) which is why Judd thought they should have lunch.

Also, Paul gave Apatow permission to use "Great Day" (from Flaming Pie) over the opening to Apatow's film Funny People. Apatow also used the Memory Almost Full bonus track "In Private" in the same movie.

Linda's song "I Got Up" was used this year in an episode of HBO's Girls, which Apatow produced.
